Pannur village, under the Madras-Mylapore Archdiocese, was initially a sub-station of Kilachery Parish on 01-02-1873. It was later elevated as a separate parish. The parish celebrated its centenary in 1973, marking 100 years, and on 31st May 2023 it celebrated its 150-year Jubilee. There are about 500 Kamma Catholic families in the village.
